ALL DESCENDANTS OF Johann Duldig are invited to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of his arrival in South Australia on the ‘Helene’ with his wife and son, Friedrich on January 23rd, 1856.

On Sunday January 22nd, 2006, the trail will lead to Peter’s Hill near Riverton.  Visitors are asked to assemble in the historic church by 10.00 a.m. where a member of the Friends of the Peter’s Hill Church (stop 1) will give a potted history of the district. Johann and his wife Anna are buried in the Heritage Listed Cemetery at Peter’s Hill.

Interested travellers may wish to continue via the Hallelujah Hills on to World’s End (stop 2) for a picnic lunch at 12.30.  Johann’s eldest son, Friedrich settled in 1876 at Dutton’s Trough, approx. 5 kms from World’s End Creek.

The trail will continue to this old property (stop 3)which is now owned by Mr. Graham Whetstone who is happy for people to view the old homestead provided that they understand that no responsibility is accepted for any injuries as the homestead and surrounds are fairly dilapidated.

Travelling on after lunch to Eudunda via Robertstown with a stop at Emmaus Cemetery (stop 4) where Friedrich and his wife Louise are buried.

3.30 p.m. Afternoon tea (gold coin donation) provided by the Heritage Committee at Eudunda. A visit to the Heritage Gallery is highly recommended.
